About Me
My creative spark comes from feelings of joy, wonder, and admiration. Every piece I make is a visual love letter to the subject, the materials, and the emotions that inspired the idea.
I hope that the beauty and positivity in my work resonates with anyone that sees it, so they may also find their own bit of inspiration to carry with them.
Elements of our natural world are the main the visual subjects in my art. I have always been drawn to the imagery, symbolism, energy, and aesthetic qualities of things that are not man-made. Our connection to the animals, plants, and landscapes that we share the world with is something that I hold in the highest respect.
There is so much energy and guidance that we have the opportunity to acknowledge, and creating art that celebrates this connection is my own way of saying “thank you”.
This creative believe system spans across everything I make - personal work, commissions, themed products, and pet portraits.
I am an acrylic painter and ink & watercolor artist currently living in the northern suburbs of Illinois with my husband and our rambunctious Miniature Schnauzer, Gimli. I graduated from Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois with a BFA in painting.
