Pet Portraits
Pets are such a huge part of our lives and families. Anyone that has an animal in their life knows that they become a permanent part of your heart. A pet portrait is the perfect addition to your home to remember a passed pet, honor your current best friend, or to give as a gift to someone with a special furry (or scaly, slimy, hairless…) family member. I love the connection we have to animals and would be honored to create a piece to celebrate that relationship.
I use the photos you provide of the pet(s) and create the portrait directly using those! I will be creating with ink, watercolor, a bit of acrylic paint, and colored pencil to complete each portrait.
You order a pet portrait - here you’ll choose the size of the piece as well as the add-ons that work best for you.
When your order comes through, I’ll send you an email in 1-2 business days to request photos and more information about the pet(s). From there, I’ll start creating!
When the portrait is complete, I will email you an image of the piece for your final approval. If any changes need to be made, I’ll make them. Once I have your seal of approval, the portrait is sent on its way to you!
I’m happy to create a portrait of any type of pet!
I offer to mat the portraits for you. This is optional in case you would like to mat the piece yourself or utilize a professional. No matter how you go about it, please know that if artwork is pressed up against glass in a frame, there’s a chance it can get ruined. A matting acts as a barrier between the two.
I can put a maximum of two pets in one portrait. If you have 3+ pets, I suggest ordering 3 separate 1-pet pieces.
Plus…
At the end of each quarter, 5% of the retail price of every pet portrait ordered in that time period will be donated to the Chicago-based non-profit One Tail At A Time. They are working to end pet homelessness by making pet ownership a joyful and accessible experience for all. This is being accomplished by rescuing animals from overcrowded shelters, placing them in loving forever homes, and providing support and resources to pet owners in need.
