This is an open edition print of my 2025 painting “Flock of Seven” that was inspired by Canada Geese.

Many of these geese would cross through my childhood home's open backyard to get to the nearby ponds and wetlands areas. I found it incredibly exciting to watch them, and I've always loved their striking black and white plumage on their face and neck. As an adult, I still love to watch them fly overhead or gather in grassy fields. They hold a special place in my heart.

Texture was a big focus for me while making this painting. I used palette knives almost exclusively, and you can see each glorious swipe of paint when you’re viewing it up close.
